Thank you for visiting my website! My name is Marlene Reisler and this is my crazy workshop assistant, Paco. Welcome to my online shop where I sell unique custom, ready to wear, and estate jewelry. I also create and sell custom and ready to hang wreaths and ornaments. I will tell you a little about myself and the store.
Although I loved working as a middle school teacher for over twenty years, I decided to take a leap of faith and retire early to pursue my true passion of designing jewelry and other mixed media creations. I absolutely love creating custom jewelry pieces for clients, especially when the customer can be part of the initial design process. I specialize in working with miniscule seed beads and making elaborate bead embroidery projects. I have been working with tiny glass beads for over a decade now and I have had the honor of attending workshops from a few of the best beaders in the world, who have inspired me from the start, specifically Marcia DeCosta and Cynthia Rutledge.
I also enjoy constructing jewelry components out of polymer clay and precious metal clay, and then hand painting and enameling the finished products. I am recently obsessed with making miniature foods with polymer clay and incorporating them into necklaces or making earrings out of them. If you want a picture of a loved one to be part of a jewelry project, I have a few ways to superimpose that photograph into the requested jewelry piece. I can also make a variety of different chainmaille weaves if you desire a handmade chain.
I am very drawn to creating Victorian style jewelry that has a vintage, old-world appeal. I like mixing vintage and antique components with modern materials and creating a unique piece that looks expensive, but is affordable. I also enjoy making fun and whimsical jewelry created from clay, plastic, and rubber. I noticed a lot about myself as I was organizing these pieces into categories… I guess I am obsessed with famous characters from the 16th through the 19th century, animals, insects, and faces/heads.
Custom wreaths are also available upon request. Want a wreath that features a famous historical figure? Is someone retiring from your workplace and you want me to make a personalized theme wreath just for that special retiree? I can accommodate that, or any other ideas that you may have.
I have recently received my graduation certificate for Interior Design from the New York Institute of Art and Design, and plan to eventually incorporate this into my business in the future. I love to design commercial spaces, as well as residential.
Please send me a message below if you want to place a custom order or if you have any questions. If you are requesting a custom project, please include your phone number and I will call you to discuss the details regarding an estimate based on time and necessary materials.
Also, please continue to check back to this website weekly, as I will be continuously adding new products. Thanks so much for visiting! 🙂
PS- The artwork for my design Behold Lady Logo was completed by my martial arts friend, Izzy Rodriguez, who is a wonderfully talented tattoo and media artist designer.
