Antique Heirloom Earrings (Turquoise)
The color turquoise was treasured by women of the Victorian era because it represented safety and reminded folks of the Forget -Me -Not flower which every woman wanted to receive from their crush. Turquoise was typically set with gold and diamonds, and not silver like it is today. These earrings were created with vintage oval glass cabochons from early- mid 20th century. These textured sunburst cabochons are set in antique brass prong settings and are dangling from a beautiful antique brass filigree component. The oval cabochons are approximately 1/2 inch by 3/4 inch in dimension. The earrings are finished with brass French style earwires, and the total length of the earrings is about two inches. Note: The golden finish on the cabochons has some wear as they are antique components.
