This oval decorative cardboard box features a portrait of an unknown Georgian gentleman wearing a burgundy suit.   This box is special to me because it is a photograph of the actual mini Georgian painting antique pendant that my husband was kind enough to give me for Valentine’s Day.  I wanted to make a special box to store him in, which inspired me to create this entire collection of boxes.  The fabric box top is framed with gray faux fur and a twisted, metallic silver trim.  The top also contains a red paper rose.  The inside of the top of the box is lined with a maroon, pink, and gray patterned cardstock.   The sides of the top lid are bordered by a scalloped, antique- silver ribbon.  The bottom of the box is lined with a dark gray felt material.  The outside of the box is painted with a dark silver metallic acrylic paint.  A beautiful maroon lacy ribbon with flowers covers the sides of the box.   The dimensions of this box are 3.5  inches x 2.5 inches x 1.5 inches.   (Please understand that these boxes are NOT perfect.  They may have some stray paint on the inside lid or the ribbon may not be evenly adhered.  The fact that they are handmade makes them unique,  and adds to the vintage/antique vibe.   I hope you enjoy this decorative cardboard box to store your favorite jewelry piece or treasured trinket.  They also make great gifts either on their own, or to put a special gift inside.)
